You build the agents that run a customer's process end to end, including the parts where they have to stop.

Salary: € 5.000 to € 7.500 per month, depending on experience

Most AI engineering roles are demo work: something impressive that runs once, in front of the right people, on the happy path. This is the other kind. What you build has to survive Monday morning at a company that did not read the manual.

What the work actually looks like

An agent here is not a chatbot with a longer memory. It reads a request, checks it against rules someone wrote down, does something in a real system, and reports back what it did. The interesting part is never the model. It is the boundary: what happens when the input is malformed, when the API is down, when the answer is technically correct and commercially wrong.

You will spend more time on those cases than on the main path, and that is the job rather than a distraction from it.

Who this is not for

Someone who wants to work on model architecture. We do not train models; we build systems around them.

Someone who wants a specification handed over. The mapping happens with the customer, and you are in the room.

What you will do

Build agents that run a customer process end to end, in their own systems
Write the boundary before the code: what it decides alone, what it escalates
Instrument everything, so every action an agent takes ends up in a log
Sit in the mapping sessions, because the exceptions are found there and not in a ticket

What you bring

You have shipped something that ran in production and broke at three in the morning
Comfortable with Python or TypeScript, and with reading someone else's mess
You can explain a technical trade-off to someone who does not want the detail
You are more interested in what an agent should not do than in what it can
